While Billy Joe Armstrong is moonlighting as a 60s garage band with Foxboro, Starmy is right here in our backyard and doing it a hundred times better. So many bands out there are trying to replicate the classic rock sound, but Starmy isn’t trying to replicate anyone or anything. Complete with everything from epic guitar solos to calliope keyboards, Starmy breaks it down to the basics, taking these amazing riffs and riding them through the whole song. It’s these kinds of hooks that make you fall in love with a band, and every song on these two EPs has that kind of a hook.
