SLUG Games is The Largest Amateur Ski and Snowboard Competition in Utah
For the past 20 years SLUG Magazine has hosted Utah’s largest amateur ski and board competition, bringing hundreds of locals together. SLUG Games gives the opportunity to young skiers and snowboards to compete in amateur competition for a chance to showcase their skills and talents. SLUG Games has served as an early stomping ground for established pros like Bode Merrill, Stevie Bell, Sean Black, Ted Borland and Gabby Maiden as well as up- and-comers like Tucker Fitzsimons.
SLUG Games: Prom Jam
This year The SLUG Games had a new twist: it was a Prom Jam filled with all the amenities you could ask for. It was high school all over again, except the gym was filled with snow, and instead of some strange middle aged dude with something to prove breathing down your neck, you were allowed and encouraged to get buck. On Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 an arsenal of kids armed with skis and snowboards went head to head against pro skiers and riders at The Canyons in the SLUG Games and Celtek Gloves Beat the Pro contest, the second and final SLUG Games comp of the season. … read more
