The amount of aggressive music that is released here took me by surprise. I was expecting more of the same club-style dance tracks, but was pounded with metal/thrash, track after track. I am hoping that this is just a temporary expression of style and creativity that was sparked by the bands that Combichrist have recently toured with. As I listened to the anger-inducing songs, I came across the whimsical centerpiece of the album—one club-friendly track titled “Fuck Unicorns.” I found its placement hilarious. Every time I hear it, it makes me want to vomit rainbow glitter all over a dance floor—my body cannot stop moving to the beat. I enjoyed the spoken-word style of “Retreat Hell Part 2” with its message to take life by the balls and try not to hurt anyone while doing it. It’s a must have for metal fans and Rivetheads! –Mistress Nancy
