Review: Chrome – Half Machine From The Sun – The Lost Chrome Tracks From ’79-‘80

Helios Creed and Damon Edge cleaned out their pockets, gathered funds and purchased their music rights back from corporate grasp to release a piece of lost post-punk history. There is art and beauty to be found in this twisted, nostalgic release. These dark, experimental sounds broke boundaries and set standards for even today’s gothic and industrial musicians. The distorted, sometimes even backwards lyrics, hollow drums and the cosmic, whining guitars had me feeling as if I were tripping back though time. I do believe that these guys must have been on their own sort of great psychedelic trip while they were in the studio creating these abstract tracks. –Mistress Nancy
