Bohemian Brewery is a homegrown business reimagined from Czechoslovakia to Utah. An alpine feeling brewpub making traditional Czech beers and homey food, Bohemian Brewery makes some of my favorite comfort meals. I go there when I need fried fish or a killer bratwurst. It is widely understood that Utah would be a dimmer place for beer drinkers if the Bayou’s 30 drafts and 239 bottled beers were unavailable. Lately, they’ve been making things much brighter, with a new mixed-beer menu that expands on ideas like the classic Black and Tan (Guinness and lager). New Utah Breweries
Years of combined planning have given rise to two new breweries in Utah days apart, proving that even in a downward economy people in Utah still thirst for great beer. Epic Brewing Company located in downtown Salt Lake City received their final license on March 26 and went into production on that day. Shades of Pale Brewing Co. in Park City acquired their permits exactly two weeks later on April 9, 2010 and began making pilot batches of beer that day. … read more

Volcom’s 2010 North American Wild in the Parks Tour was kicked off in style at American Fork’s own Greenwood Skatepark on Saturday, May 8th. With 200 competitors shredding the park for a chance at invites to this year’s $25,000 WITP Championships in Arizona. Needless to say, it was a ruthless battle consisting of everything from a kickflip back tail shove out to tre-flip boardslides. The skill level of the skaters was off the charts and gave everyone more than enough to think about on their way home at the end of the day! Photos: Gage Thompson

Death Dealers vs. Bomber Babes on May 15 2010
The Death Dealers opening chant of ‘Death Dealers, Death Dealers…Kill! Kill! Kill!’ set the tone for the second bout in the Salt City Derby Girls double header on Saturday night at the Salt Palace. The Dealers’ target for the night was the Bomber Babes, a team that is still in a rebuilding phase with many new skaters after the departure of numerous veteran skaters at the end of the 2008 season.
